Christopher A. Hesen
Mr.¬† Hesen is Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer of Revere Bank. He has worked in the financial services industry for 30 years. Prior to joining Revere Bank, he held two positions in the Greater Washington Area for PNC Bank: ¬†Executive Vice President/Market Sales Manager (2008 to 2011) and Executive Vice President /Credit Executive (2006-2008).
Mr. Hesen began his financial services career with Home Beneficial Life in 1981. He then joined the management training program at First National Bank of Maryland (Eastern Shore) where he completed the commercial credit training program and graduated from Maryland Banking School. He worked with First National Bank of Maryland for 10 years.
In 1994, Mr. Hesen joined Fredericktown Bank & Trust Company, an affiliate of Mercantile Bankshares Corporation. He served as Senior Vice President/Commercial Business Development Manager at Fredericktown Bank for over nine years. Fredericktown Bank merged with Farmers & Mechanics Bank in 2003, and he continued his responsibilities at the SVP level through June of 2004. In June of 2004, Mr. Hesen joined Mercantile Potomac Bank, an MBC affiliate serving the Greater Washington market, as Senior Vice President/Commercial Business Development Team Leader.
Mr. Hesen left Mercantile Potomac Bank in spring of 2005 to help start of new division within Ausherman Development Corporation of Frederick, MD. He returned to Mercantile Potomac Bank (MPB) in April of 2006 as Executive Vice President/Chief Credit Officer, and remained with MPB through the PNC Bank acquisition in October of 2006.
Mr. Hesen was president of Frederick Police Activity League (PAL),¬† where he was recognized by the Rotary Club of Carroll Creek with the Paul Harris Fellowship for his efforts in directing a building project for the League. Mr. Hesen has previously served in Rotary International, and has served as the vice chairman of the Business & Industry Committee at Frederick Memorial¬† Hospital. He has also served as an advisory board member of the Delaney Center for Public Sector Information at Mount Saint Mary‚Äôs College, and served on the Hood College Board of Associates. Mr. Hesen was a board member of the Frederick¬† County Tourism Council, and served two years as president of the Glade Valley Athletic Asssociation, where he also coached baseball, soccer and basketball.
Mr. Hesen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Towson University.
